Kauai, “The Garden Isle,” delivers two substantial resort areas on the north and south shores with a few one-horse resorts in-between. One of those in-betweeners is the centrally located Kauai Lagoons Resort, home to the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club. Nary a resort in Hawaii can match the sheer width and breadth of this baby. Actually, here reside two properties in one location, with the Kauai Marriott as the centerpiece and its Kauai Marriott Beach Club accommodations rounding out the picture. About four miles down the road on the opposite side of Lihue Airport is the Kauai Beach Resort with its featured hotel, the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort. After a full facelift for the new millennium, the Radisson is one of the best-looking resort hotels at a price almost anyone can afford.

The Princeville Resort sits on 500 acres on the majestic cliffs of Kauai’s magnificent North Shore just above Hanalei Bay. Across the way is Bali Hai, made famous in the 1958 film, “South Pacific.” Hanalei Bay Resort is a multi-dimensional "resort within a resort," with hotel rooms, one-bedroom condominium units and a host of on-property amenities. Also located on Princeville’s tableland are numerous condos and villas.
